I recently sold this Ford GTP J-Car and had not realized that the left side window decal had lifted away from the window at the top. The buyer tried to fix it and unfortunately it fell apart, very old kit. We are wondering if anyone might have spares? The kit was a Sapphire Modelcraft and quite old. I am showing the right side also so you can see the shape and thickness better but we need the left side. You can just make out the decal lifting away. It's a long shot but had to try. Thanks, Mike

MIke: I think I still have the Sapphire kit but I doubt anyone would want to pay the price for just a decal. I will check to see if they may have included a spare set.

Failing that, I suggest making one from spares as the shape is very simple. Cut two very thin strips of silver from a spare decal and piece them together. I really think you would have to look with a magnifying glass to see the difference.

I know you don't build. Do you want me to send you something from my spares box. I cut and paste decals together all the time and I bet professional do also. Sometimes the decal is too old and cracks or is just too big to manage.

Hate to see a beautiful model go to waste for such a simple problem.

Thanks Todd, I think we may have another solution. One of our fellow collectors called today and suggested drafting tape which comes in a variety of very thin sizes in aluminum color and could be cut to match. I have emailed the buyer and may have him send it to me so my local guy can do it. Mike
