Hello Peter,
Lol. No, my Ferrari is well red Italian.
I'm colorblind. For work, I use a specific lighting that helps me to distinguish colors. Sorry I do not know better explain.

To paint the body I used red Tamiya TS8. The painting came out of the bomb spray and applied with an airbrush. Tamiya paints are very fine, which prevents of hiding the details, even if I put a lot of paint.

By against the Tamiya paint is very liquid. So to prevent casting the paint and be sure there will be paint in any area of the body, I first applied the paint brush in the engravings and places not very accessible with the airbrush .

This method allows do not have to insist to the airbrush to the places not very accessible for paint flow.

Furthermore, this method helps prevent the appearance of a granular aspect to the inaccessible places, caused by paint mist.
As for example within the air inlets or within a wheel.

That's better...but still a bit "bright". Try to obtain some factory code FER300. It is well suited for most vintage Ferrari subjects. I have used it for nearly 20 years ;)

I understand painting the joints, getting to those areas is always difficult with an airbrush.

Thank you Peter for the paint code.

Here is the continuation of wip, with the painting of the different parts of the car.
I posted pictures of the wheels. They are not beautiful, the sculpture is bad. But normally I will soon have the others most beautiful, I hope...

After approximately 8 hours of polishing, the red regained its shine.
Now, the finishing works will begin.

fantastic! what a quality of paintwork.

but.... (positive remark!!)

Isn't it a bit to shiny for a racecar?

maybe its personal and the main reason why I didnt like the Make up P4's as they are to perfect.

Thank you for your compliments. I know that painting is high gloss. But building a show car is fun for me.

New wheels have arrived, the paint job and adaptation is underway.
I also try to do something well with the rear traffic lights. It is not finished.
