I am pleased to announce a very special and limited project. The 250GT Breadvan in 1/12 scale. This model will feature a 3D printed body, a scratch built chassis and a number of parts from the MFH 250 GTO. This is initially limited to 4 examples and the option of any of the liveries will be the clients choice. I plan to do this as a full open high detail model and an optional "curbside"closed version. Contact Mike for more detail or to reserve one of the four models.

Do you have your own 3D printer, Peter? Seriously cool if you do... :o)

1/12 is a bit to big for the type of printer I am looking at so this is getting done overseas ;)

Looks good but the rear wheel looks to close to the door. I already did one of these in 1/12th scale using the APM kit as a base. APM made the same mistake along with many others. Don't forget the dash board in the restored car was changed to be like that in 1964, well after the 1962 Lemans race. The correct Lemans dash looks more like a GTO series I dash.

Found the link to my APM based Breadvan. APM did a lot better on the 1/18th scale model, but still messed it up in some areas.

Thanks...I am aware of this and yes they do look too close.Actually the doors are too large and that's what is causing this. These are very preliminary and I am going back and forth. I guess this will be design by committee ;) Yours looks good but those indicator lights are way too big :::)

Next series of screen shots...as noted above some changes still need to be made, the side vents are too tall and the door opening is too large. The nose vents also need some refinement, they should taper a bit. More too come so keep the critique going...it can only result the the best example possible!

FWIW the "restored" version always looked most appealing to me ;) Some artistic license on a "non factory hybrid Ferrari" doesn't bother me.

At Le Mans prior to scrutineering...no solid section on the front of the hood bulge in this photo

Very nice photos. The car looked very rat like when it showed up at the track . I think they cleaned it up a lot before inspection. Surprised they even painted it at all.

So...if it raced at Le Mans with a 62 GTO dash [need to verify] then it most likely had the GTO steering wheel [from what I can decipher in the earlier photos it looks to be the case].
