My questions would be,first of all.It came screwed to a plain wood base,is that correct? Also ,is this a kit or did it come assembled?I want to get the AMR book eventually but these answers would suffice for now.

Hello,
I quite well remember tha I have built 10 or 20 of these AMR 500SEC models in Germany for the well known modelshop Danhausen back then in the early eighties. All in black, and screwed to a brilliant acrylic baseplate with oblique sides. Was an original AMR kit of which I still have the original instructions sheet. Could scan and email if interested. But no idea whether/how many were "factory built" in France.
