Yesterday I had a cruise with my car and I was passing by our local Kempinski Adriatic Hotel where usually nice cars are parked. At first I saw a red Ferrari and thought it was a standard 599 GTB Fiorano. When getting closer, I noticed the matte gray roof and lateral skirts, the special wheels, the front grille etc... OH DEAR! IT'S THE 599 GTO!!! It was my first time seeing it. They were having a photo shoot of the car for the EVO Magazine. Two guys with a Renault Clio SW (?!?!?!) were following it and shooting pics of it on near roads.

The owner was driving crazy! Loud and brutal accelerations, wheel spins outside Kempinski's park. It was so loud that I heard him cruising at high speeds on the nearby roads from a few kilometer distance. I have NEVER HEARD such a loud Ferrari or any other street-legal car! Neither the Enzo, the 430 Scuderia (and 16M Spider), the Pagani Zonda F and Cinque Roadster... no Lamborghini getting even close to the noise this thing makes! It was incredible to hear the rumbling noise coming out of the exhausts when he left the gas pedal. To prove what I'm saying, there are a few video-clips which I uploaded on YouTube. Unfortunately the video quality is not that nice because they were shot with an iPhone... :( However you can hear the noise!

Oh... after a while, I decided to get back home to take my Nikon D80 DSLR camera and to return to snap some better pics. Unfortunately the 599 GTO was already gone when I got back. It was probably in the hotel's garage (no access). Luckily, on my way home, I saw a black 612 Scaglietti. I made a few pics of it.

In front of the Kempinski there were also an Audi S4 Avant (SW) and an Audi S5 Sportback. POWERFUL BEASTS!

The day before (on Friday) I was in Porec (a town near Umag - where I live) and I saw, for my very first time too, a Ferrari 550 barchetta! I couldn't believe my eyes. It's such a rare car limited to 448 examples worldwide. It was painted in Rosso Corsa. I didn't have time to snap some pics... :(

I hope you'd enjoy the pics and videos of the 599 GTO + 612 Scaglietti. Please comment on YouTube! Thanks! ;)
