Does SRC Models England have a website? I have some of their factory builts on consignment and having trouble identifying one in particular. The box does not have a description on the gold label like most of the others. This 50s F1 looks similar to a Ferrari 801 but I am not sure, does anyone recognize this Ferrari, race, driver? Nice little piece with engine detail.

Thanks guys, exactly what I needed. Most of the other models have the description and SRC production # on the gold box label but this one just has a gold label with their address and hand written 52/150 off to the side of the label. I am listing it on ebay now without reserve. Mike |

Christian and Jeanpaul write correct information. This model is available whitout the engine details, I' ve built one for this race and I still working on n° 20 Olivier Gendebien raced in Belgian GP 1958, the car is painted in yellow.

SRC or Scale Racing Cars was formed by a set of englishmen who started to make white metal kits and hand built models early eighties. Their subject almost always Formula 1. They retired some 5 years ago and their models are still available through SMTS as mentioned. SRC does not have nor never had a website. They did some limited editions of the Ferrari 246 Dino with engine detail. Later they released it as a kit, but without engine. Strange, as most of their kits have engine detail. They also did this with the Mercedes W196 if I am correct. |
