I bought the kit AMR 1n 1982 I paid 91.00 USD I thought at that time it was a lot of money! I got it to Barnett in 1995. Wow, how time flies! Now for all you AMR experts, why is the window in this model narrower than the other AMR BB512 #68 I have posted after the Barnett?

Mr Stevek Awesome! Do you have other Barnetts? Again why is my model window narrower than yours. Mine was produced by GYL master by AMR this must be why there is different size. What company made your kit? Thanks Ron |

Yes, I do have several Barnett models. And as a matter of fact, I have the unbuilt kit of the exact model you have...same GYL/AMR Ecurie "Belge" 79 car.
I can see what you are saying about your model looking a bit "chopped". But, to me the unbuilt kit looks OK. I am not sure what the answer is. Of course as you can see this kit does not come with opening doors. Barnett has to cut them open and fabricate new window frames, perhaps that can cause some variation from one build to the next. Hope this is of some help. Steve |

I just thought I would share a few pictures of my 365 GT/4 BB NART made from the old x-AMR kit.

The cream 410S or the 375MM(bosica based) are favourites he built! Thinking about it, there are a few more fantastic options.. In a few months, I will contact Steve, he might have some great ideas or works in progress or planning..
I focus more and more on the artisans and older models. Old fashioned talent and craftmanship is fascinating.
Recently I sold most of my "modern" cars, and there are few "artisans" missing in my collection.
