I guess by now most of you guys know about Mike's "In-House Auctions"...

Well, so far it appears to somewhat of a failure, sadly. What I would like to do is ask everyone some questions and see if I can figure what I am doing wrong - or if you all think it is even worth continuing it at all. So, Mike and I would be grateful if you could take the time to express some opinions. If you would rather not make your thoughts public, then please feel free to email either Mike or myself. Also, any criticism is welcome, but that should only be directed to me - any shortcomings or design flaws are mine entirely.

One thing I do need to make clear: I did not design the auction 'program' we are using - I merely adapted it to integrate into Mike's main site. Because it is a free system, there are obviously limitations as to what I can achieve with it.

So:
  • Is it easy to find the auction pages on Mike's site?

  • Does the registration and bidding process make sense?

  • Given the huge success of the JPM GTOs recently, would you consider using the auction system if models of similar interest were offered on it?

  • Would the auction system be of more interest if it was open to any of us here? (with each individual being subject to Mike's approval first, of course)

Thanks - any input here will be much appreciated!
