I thought CMC were made in Germany?

Christian, this is very brave statement! What about ABC, MR, MG, Tron, re-born under new name Piranha, Racing 43 and some other small producers? To say nothing re BBR, see my previous post. Vladimir

of course piranha is europe sorry I was talking about hand made models in larger series the small builders work still in europe
ABC , Racing 43 don`t build ferraris anymore MR = looksmart = china
I dont think MG and Tron are building in Italy these cars are too cheap ( less than 100 Euros )

ABC produce some both real Ferrari both and such exotics as selection of Sbarro Ferrari. Racing 43 - may be so, I haven't last news from them. Look Smart is China of course, but not MR. Not so long ago I have seen the building process at MR workshop by my own eyes. You are right - both MG and Tron have cheap China-made simplified series like Bee-Bop or Glamour. But real MG/Model Plus and Tron are not so cheap, especially their top-models with openable engines. Vladimir

Hey Dave W
I saw that challenge car a about a year or two ago on this forum. i really hope they are going to make that one. i love the way that car looks. the decal design reminds me of the older fighter jets.

I agree with christian! CMC's are the most breathtaking models on market! So many details for that money is unbeliveable. 1/18 is not my scale, but for me its impossible not to buy them... Cant wait for the next Ferrari release... |

Patrick, If you (or any other forum members) like that 430 Challenge, please send BBR an e-mail to encourage them to build it. Did you see the car at VIR? I live in southside VA about 20 miles from the track. You are in Northern VA, correct?

Great to finally have you on this forum! I'm happy for you you've gathered enough wisdom to start collecting hand built models by now! ;-) I hope your new hobby gives you as much pleasure and joy as it gave me the last 15 years!
Best regards my friend! Adrie

Heyyy Adrie,
You're here as well? Great!
To all: Adrie has been trying to seduce me into starting a Ferrari model collection for the past 15 years! Back when I was still living in the Netherlands, we used to visit some car-hobby shops, where I'd always be buying books and magazines and Adrie would stay in front of the BBR displays for two-three hours easily, trying to make up his kind which one(s) to take home :)
And he always tried to talk me into the BBR-collecting, but it really was way to expensive for me back then. Still, somewhere in the back of my mind, his 15-year enduring persuasions kept me thinking about indeed starting with collecting handbuilts. And now, finally, I'm hooked too!!! (so Adrie, you were right all these years, it's a great hobby!)
Ciao,
Lars T. |

No, i did not have a chance to make it, as much as i would have loved to. i do do the cars and coffee. I am in college now, and i do not get a chance to go to all of the auto events that i would like.
but yes, i will email them. this is one car, i would love to spend $350 on in a special case/base
